Description

In 1992 two research projects were started with the purpose to study the build up of activation products on the primary circuit surfaces at the Loviisa power plants. One of them deals with the direct γ-spectrometric determination of activation products deposited on the surfaces. The project is presented at this same symposium. The second project presented in this paper deals with the determination of the concentrations of stable transition metals in the coolant. A short description of the experimental procedures used are given in the following together with some of the results. The details of the sampling, and analysis procedures will be described elsewhere.
