Description
A computer program to calculate and map the internal dose and dispersion of iodines from Kartini reactor has been made. The scope of the research includes the making of a computer program by using Basic. The radioactive iodines discussed are I-131, I-132, I-133, I-134 and I-135. Their radioactivity concentrations dispersed to environment of the reactor was calculated by using Gaussian-Pasquill plume formula. The method used consists of the calculation of iodines activity in the environment, the calculation of their dose rates by dose conversion factors, and the making of a program for mapping the dose rates dispersion around the reactor. The output of the program were the iodines dose rates and the map of iodines dose rates distribution curves for a radius of 5 km and 10 km. The conclusion was that the program provides an informative calculation result and pictures of iodine dose rates dispersion which will be usefully in case of emergency
