The God's particle - In the search for the Higgs boson
Creators
Description
This document briefly presents a book in which the author reports the quest of scientists in the elaboration of a model which could explain matter structure at its most elementary level, until the discovery of the famous Higgs boson at the LHC in July 2012. He explains the nature of the Higgs boson and why its discovery is so important because it confirms a model which has been progressively elaborated, discovery after discovery, and which also predicted the existence of a boson giving their mass to the other particles. In other words, without this boson, the universe could not just be what it is
