Present status of the nuclear fuel cycle in the CSFR
Description
The paper gives an overview of present fuel cycle activities in CSFR and perspectives of its development. Discussed are results of preliminary evaluation of alternative fuel cycle options. Main attention is devoted to technical and economical problems of extended burnup, with special emphasis on WWER reactors. The most important part for further consideration is the backend of the nuclear fuel cycle, especially for the once-through alternative. (author). 9 refs, 9 figs, 1 tab
