Concrete structure strength against soft-missile impact

Description

This paper addresses the non-linear problem of impact of soft-missiles on concrete structures such as containment buildings of nuclear reactors. The general features of the computer program, based on a shell formulation, and developed for fast-transient non-linear dynamic analysis are presented. Applications in the field of anti-missile design as well as comparisons with results of other types of computer programs based on complete different structural modelling are presented. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Dieser Beitrag behandelt das nichtlineare Problem des Aufpralls von 'weichen' Projektilen auf Betonkonstruktionen, wie z.B. die Sicherheitshuelle eines Kernreaktors. Es wird das mit Schalenelementen arbeitende und fuer die nichtlineare dynamische Analyse schneller Stossvorgaenge entwickelte Computerprogramm erlaeutert. Ferner werden Anwendungen auf dem Gebiet des Entwurfs von Schutzbauwerken sowie Vergleiche mit den Ergebnissen von Computerprogrammen anderen Typs vorgefuehrt, die von einer voellig anderen mathematischen Modellierung der Baukonstruktionen ausgehen.
