Mn-center luminescence and phase transitions in CsCdI4 crystals
Description
Luminescent characteristics of Mn-centers in Cs2CdI4 crystals within 100-450 K temperature interval are investigated. It is ascertained that in Cs2CdI4 crystals manganese ions produce two types of luminescence centers, their radiation being observed at 541 and 700 nm. Spectral characteristics of luminescence bands as well as temperature dependence of their intensities are sensitive to phase transitions in these crystals which allows one to use Mn-centers for studying the nature of phases and the character of phase transitions in crystals
