Coherent states in nuclear dynamics

Description

This study presents an approximation that is viewed as the zeroth order step in a path integral representation of the propagator. As demonstrated, the TDVP formalism is worked out and leads to feasible mathematical problems. If the reduction of the problem is a meaningful one with the collective motion described by the CS as rather stable and not strongly mixed with other degrees of freedom, then the constrained dynamics is a good approximation over a time interval large with respect to the natural period of the collective motion. Therefore, the use of CS and TDVP are based on the same assumption and together they form an internally consistent theory
