Description

This presentation discusses indigenous engagement for clean energy futures in Canada. We have a shared vision of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) opportunity in New Brunswick. We recognize global scale changes are required to reduce/reverse the harmful effects of climate change - we all have a role to play in making the world a better place for the next generations. we are aligned with industry partners in recognizing Small Modular Reactors have a role to play in helping jurisdictions achieve Net-Zero Carbon Emission targets by 2050. Our interest in helping First Nation Communities in New Brunswick participate directly in this sector is fueled by the complementary role Srs play ib providing grid stability when coupled with other non-emitting power generation technologies, and the opportunity to reduc the ecological legacy of existing Candu spent fuel inventories.
