Thity-seven papers were presented, these being divided into four sessions under the general headings of: Siting and national criteria and practices; Siting and environment; Siting and reprocessing plants; New approaches to a siting policy and special problems. The symposium is summarised and reviewed from a personal viewpoint. (U.K.)
