Density of liquid rare-earth sesquioxides

Description
The densities of seven rare-earth sesquioxides and yttrium sesquioxide were measured in the liquid state in the temperature range from melting point to ∼3200 K. An aerodynamic levitation technique and laser-heating method were used. The variation of volume at fusion for these oxides was deduced from these results and known data for the solid phases
