Quasi two-dimensional electron gas in nonquantizing magnetic and intense electric fields

Description
Transverse electric field Ey occurring in quasi two-dimensional superlattices in an intense extending electric field Ex and weak magnetic field, perpendicular to the superlattice plane (H parallel 0Z), is calculated. In case when the energy electron spectrum is non-additive, Ey field includes both the Hull factor and the spontaneous transverse electric field existing without H as well. A situation is considered when a sample is closed up to the final resistance in the 0Y direction. As Ex function, Ey field is ambiguous (multistability) and sign-variable. When determining the stable branches of Ey(Ex) function, a kinetic potential introduced into consideration, its minimum corresponding to a stationary state of a non-equilibrium electron gas, is used. 8 refs.; 5 figs
