Description

99Tc is a long lived radionuclide having t1/22.11x105 years and Eβ max 295.5 keV and its fission yield in nuclear reactor is about ∼6.13%. It exists in various oxidation states in aqueous solution including Tc (II), IV, V, VI and VII. In this paper, we have studied a new solvent extraction method for low concentration of 99Tc (<3.7 Bq/ml) using crown ethers
