Simplest model of nuclear reactor with stochastic behavior

Description
Paper presents and studies the simplest model of nuclear reactor with dynamic chaos. It is a point model of third order without delayed neutrons with linear feedback and single non-linearity of the type of the product of neutron density into reactivity. Mechanisms and scenarios of chaos origination in this model are studied in detail. It is determined that chaos occurs both under unstable and under stable states of equilibrium equivalent to reactor stationary state. It is shown that chaos detected in a model of reactor, originates, as well, as the equivalent piecewise system of third order with two linearity zones and single state of equilibrium (stable or unstable). 12 refs., 6 figs
