Solubility of krypton in liquid sodium
Description
The solubilities of the noble gases in liquid sodium have been the subject of considerable study in recent years. From measurements on helium, argon, and xenon a trend toward decreasing solubility with increasing size of the noble gas is observed. The paper reports on work to determine whether or not the solubility of krypton is consistent with this trend and to provide data for understanding the behaviour of fission product krypton in liquid metal cooled reactor systems.
