Low pressure multiwire proportional chamber used for physics experiment on secondary ion beam

Description
The important action in nuclear physics experiments of position sensitive detectors was described. The operation principle, the time and position characteristic of low pressure multiwire proportional chamber (LP-MWPC) were described also. The structure and the measuring results of the LPMWPC used for secondary experiment of light particles with higher energies were given, a position resolution of ΔX=ΔY=0.7 mm was obtained
