Estimation the treatment of radioactive waste of decommissioning programme for TRIGA Mark II reactor on Bandung

Description

The research on radioactive waste treatment TRIGA Mark II reactor components Bandung has been conducted. The purpose of this study is to get the right treatment method to be safe for humans and the environment. The research done by analyzing the initial data obtained from the results of radio nuclide activity inventory reactor components. Inventory data among other activity, volume and weight. The data is analyzed using the computer code micro shield to get of dose rate. The results were obtained of highest dose rate after packaging at 171 mR/h. The number of containers used as: 303950 liters of concrete shell pieces, 1 box iron and 2 pieces of pipe SS304. The dose rate of waste at contact distance should not be more than 200 mR/h. (author)
