Dentatability of nitrate group and coordination number of trivalent indium in nitrate complexes. Crystal structures [In(NO3)(H2O)5](NO3)2 and HK6[In(NO3)4(H2O]3(N)3)4

Description
Indium(3) complexing with nitrate group is investigated. Compounds mentioned in the title are synthesized from aqueous solutions and their x ray diffraction analysis is performed. In compound (1) coordination number of indium equals to seven due to symmetric chelate bidentatable coordination of nitrate ion and five water molecules. In a complex cation (2) indium has octahedral environment comprising four monodentatable nitrations, located within la single plane and two water molecules. Comparative analysis of nitrate complexes produced by other elements of the main 3rd subgroup is presented
