Description

Master Plan for Decommissioning Russian Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators (RTGs) is a comprehensive document funded by Canada. The SMP is to support planning for: • Decommissioning of all Russian RTGs. • Replacement of RTGs with alternative power sources. • Safe treatment and storage of radioactive heat sources. • Regulatory framework and risk assessment. • Creation of database of RTGs.
