Infinite resolution reconstruction techniques

Description

Present reconstruction in MR imaging relies on Fourier transforms. This limits the resolution available when a finite amount of data is acquired. The resulting ringing in the image is reduced by filtering the data but with a loss in resolution. The authors discuss a method that applies a simple step function or higher-order constraints to finite data sets and allows for infinite-resolution data where the object has sharp edges. It has several important features; very high resolution; improved signal to noise ratio; and nonprogating errors. It is applicable in many fields of imaging
