Description

The R and D program of geological disposal of spent fuel in Canada from 1974 to present day is discussed in this paper. The R and D activities since 2002 are presented here in more detail for some issues, such as the organization of NWMO, the fourth disposal option of spent fuel in Canada-Adaptive Phased Management (APM), its origin, its feature, its technical route for implementation and its strategic plan for 2011-2015.
