Lifetime measurements for high spin states in 86Zr and 86Y

Description
Lifetimes of levels in 86Zr and 86Y were measured by the recoil distance method. The reactions used were 70Ge(19F, p2n)86Zr and 76Ge(14N, 4n)86Y. The data on reduced transition probabilities suggest that these nuclei belong to a transitional region with interference between the single particle and collective degrees of freedom. (authors)
