Radiative electron capture by channeled oxygen ions
Creators
- 1. Oak Ridge National Lab., TN
Description
Results of investigations of the radiative electron capture phenomenon for 17.8 to 40.0 MeV 16O ions channeled through thin Ag single crystals along the 110 axial direction are reported. The advantages of using channeled ions, rather than ions bombarding amorphous or polycrystalline solids is pointed out. (3 figures) (U.S.)
