Calculation of cross sections for the 4He(e, e'pp) reaction
Description
Differential cross sections of the 4He electrodisintegration with two-proton production in the final state are calculated. The study is carried out under the conditions when one can neglect the interaction of the pair of knocked out protons and spectatory neutrons which are not detected. The final state interaction of pp- as well as nn-pairs is taken into account. A shell model with the subsequent centre-of-mass projecting procedure is used for constructing the wave function of the 4He nucleus ground state. It is shown that under certain conditions the nn-pair final state interaction can substantially change the observed particle spectra. The results obtained in the study can serve as a basis for experiments on the investigation of the total 4He disintegration by high energy electrons
