Optimization of chemical and electrochemical decontamination procedures in WWER type nuclear power plants

Description
Issues related to the optimization of chemical and electrochemical decontamination of stainless steel of the primary circuit of WWER type nuclear power plants are discussed. Corrosion layers formed under these conditions are characterized, and the results are given of experimental determination of decontamination efficiency in dependence on the principal process parameters for AP/NP-Citrox. A survey of results obtained during the development of the electrochemical decontamination process with a tampon electrode and of that in a solution is given. (author). 8 tabs., 9 refs
