Radon exploration applied to hydrogeology in Lorraine. Origin and transfer paths of radon noticed in dwellings of the Lorraine iron basin. Establishment of a cartography of 'areas of potential exhalations of radon' in the Nancy basin - Phase 2 - Measurement, interpretation and cartography of the presence of radon gas in soils - Final report

Description

A first document reports the use of the radon detection technique in the search for mineral waters, and more particularly for the hydrological study of sedimentary soils in order to possibly develop catchment works. Significant examples of calcareous soils under deposits, of a mineral water source, and of confirmation of the presence of faults are reported, and the necessity to resume a test in sandstone is evoked. A second document reports the study of the origin and transfer paths of the radon noticed in dwellings of the Lorraine iron basin. The next documents report the establishment of maps of areas of potential exhalations of radon in the Nancy basin. Figures and maps are provided for different areas of this region, and another part reports measurements, interpretation and cartography of the presence of radon in soils
