Development of atmospheric dispersion simulation system for tritium released over the complex topography

  • 1. Visible Information Center, Inc., Tokai, Ibaraki (Japan)

Description

Nuclear facilities that release tritium are often located on complex topography; for instance Tsuruga, and Rokkasho. A new atmospheric dispersion model developed in this successfully evaluates tritium releases over complex topography. This system considers dispersion of HT and/or HTO, dry/wet deposition and reemission of HTO from the earth's surface. (author)
