Magnetic Raman scattering in two-leg spin ladder Sr14-x-yCaxYyCu24O41
Description
The S = 1/2 two-leg spin ladder has a short range magnetic correlation, which induces a spin gap similar to high-Tc superconductors in the underdoped region. Magnetic excitations were investigated by Raman scattering on single crystals of Sr14-x-yCaxYyCu24O41. Anisotropic exchange energies, spin gap, two-hole bound state and its dissociation were studied as a function of the carrier concentration. (orig.)
