Description

In DUPIC prcess, nuclear materials of various form exist, and these materials have different properties(density, composition, etc). The different properties could generate unexpectedly some neutron multiplication derived from induced fission neutron when the process materials are measured by coincidence neutron counter. By this neutron multiplication, measurement errors could be generated. In this study, neutron multiplication effects were evaluated in DUPIC process specimens by use of DSNC(DUPIC Safeguards Neutron Counter), and then correction curve derived by neutron multiplication were estimated. The correction curve obtained in this study could be useful for reducing measurement errors of the DSNC in the future
