Description

A fusion-evaporation reaction was performed with beam of 28Si as the projectile at energy 100 MeV obtained from 15-UD pelletron accelerator at Inter University Accelerator Center (IUAC), New Delhi. The beam was bombarded onto 48Ti target of thickness 1 mg/cm2 backed by 8 mg/cm2 197Au . The emitted gamma rays were detected in coincidence mode with the help of 16 HpGe clover detectors of the Indian national Gamma Array (INGA). We are using CANDLE, RADWARE, INGASORT software for data analysis. Some strongly populated gamma ray peaks of 69Ge are identified like 398 KeV, 875 keV, 953 keV, 1348 keV etc. Also we have measured the population cross-section of all the strongly populated nuclei like 72Se, 72As, 70As, 69Ge, 66Ga etc. in the above mentioned fusion evaporation by measuring the area under the ground state peaks of all these nuclei and compared with the theoretical PACE4 calculation. The detailed results will be reported in the symposium. (author)
