Description

Computer simulation techniques have been employed to calculate hydrogen Balmer-α Stark broadened profiles over an electron density range between 1018 m-3 and 4.6·1022 m-3. Fine structure effects have been taken into account because of the low perturber densities considered. These calculations have allowed us to compile tables of the Balmer-α line Stark width, useful for plasma diagnosis purposes
