Description
The results of the experiments with Ar gas-puff on the inductive storage generator GIT-4 (1.2 MJ) are presented. In the experiments single shell gas-puff (r = 1.4 cm, 1 = 2 cm) and double shell gas-puff (r1 = 1.4 cm, r2 = 3 cm, 1 = 2 cm) were used. Implosion of gas-puff was monitored by following diagnostics: filtered X-ray diodes, optic streak camera, time integrated X-ray pinhole camera. The influence of gas shell preionization regime to gas-puff implosion is shown. The comparison of X-ray yield of single and double gas-puff is given. The authors carried out experiments with both single and double gas-puff. It was shown that in the case of double gas-puff power and energy of Ar K-shell emission increase from 1·1010W to 2.2·1010W and from 190 J to 350 J accordingly, power and energy of soft X-ray emission (200 divided-by 284 eV) increase insufficiently
