Modelling the effect of atmospheric emissions on groundwater composition

Description
This paper incorporates existing atmospheric, unsaturated and groundwater transport models into a composite model of aerosol transport. Results of the initial sensitivity analysis indicate the emission rate and the unsaturated transport parameters are the most significant factors in controlling the maximum concentration predicted in groundwater. Currently, the composite model is being refined to fit a field site in order to verify the results of the model. After verification, this model will be used as a predictive tool to evaluate the potential impact of ephemeral and chronic atmospheric releases on groundwater quality
