  • 1. Inst. Radiatsionnoj Bezopasnosti i Ehkologii, Kurchatov (Kazakhstan)

Description

Particular features of chromosomal polymorphism and cytogenetic differentiation have been studied in three natural populations of Chironomus plumosus collected from Pond 2 of Voskhod settlement (SEM-BH) and small lakes of Daulbai (PAB-OD) and Zhalanash (PAB-OZ). The populations studied showed 14 inverse disk sequences and 17 genotypic combinations of them. For the first time, such inverse sequences as /pluA7, p/pluB8 have been observed. Also, heterozygote inversions h/pluA2. p/pluA7 and h/pluB1p/pluB8 have been identified, which were not found in other regions. (author)
