Application of fluoride lithium crystal dosimeter in NPP environmental dose monitoring in China
Description
Instruments into the end of design life need to be replaced, and thus great input is consumed, during nuclear power plant operation and life extension of the operational phase. Life extensions of key instruments of high cost and those of extremely hard replacement could cut the input dramatically. Monitoring of environmental conditions of these instruments could provide basis of rationality for their life extension. The dose characteristics, and international research progress and application status, of lithium fluoride crystal dosimeter is briefly introduced. The technical basis, problems to be resolved and prospects of lithium fluoride crystal dosimeter's application in environmental dose monitoring of nuclear island equipments in Chinas nuclear power plants are discussed so that a basis for reference could be provided.
