The detection of OH in the Large Magellanic Cloud

Description
OH has been detected in absorption towards the compact H II region N 159 in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The heliocentric velocity (253 km s-1) and half-intensity width (10 km s-1) of the absorption profile are similar to corresponding parameters for CO emission and H2CO absorption detected previously.
