Description

A radiochemical reaction model is presented which divides the whole volume of dilute colloid solutions into two parts. In the open-quotes farclose quotes zone, the reactions are the same as in the solvent. some of the radicals reach the micelle surface from the zone next to each particle. An analytical expression for the radical flux to the micelle is obtained in the single-radical approximation. The fraction of the radicals which reach the micelle surface is determined, and an expression is found for the time to dissolve the particles of a monodispersed colloid
