Description
This book treats the important but least investigated field of nitrogen glasses. A broad-based work, the book outlines properties of glasses and devitrification in processes. There is an investigation of glass formation in magnesium and yttrium systems and the formation of nitrogen glasses in other systems is discussed. The relationship between synthesized bulk nitrogen glasses and grain boundary glasses in densified nitrogen ceramics is investigated via their respective devitrification behavior as determined by X-ray methods
