Expert System for Trouble Shooting of High Voltage Generator of ElectronBeam Machine 500 kV/10 mA

The preliminary software prototype of expert system for trouble-shootingof high voltage generator of electron beam machine (HVG-EBM) error operationwas made at P3TM-BATAN Yogyakarta. This expert system is expected to handlethe problem of operation diagnostic of high voltage generator error whichtargeted the component damage or system malfunction. The main display of thisprogram is a display from HVG-EBM monitor view. It would be seen on-line iferror operation took place that contribute to component or system damage, theerror was monitored continuously during operation, that can make maintenancetechnician easy to handle, it would shorten time of repair, because theexpert system would guide to the location of damage component or system . Itwould be followed up to minimized HVG-EBM down time. This expert system wasdeveloped by using Borland C + + version 5.02 programming language. It wasoperated by Windows 9 x operating system and developed by using rule basewith backward chaining method. (author)
