Description

The efficiency, effectiveness and factor of effectiveness of single and split gamma rays 30, 40 and 50 krad, EMS 0.5 per cent, NMU 0.02 per cent and their combination treatments in inducing mutations were studied in the rice var. BPT 1235 during the rabi season of 1992. The mutagen treated population from 21 treatments including population from 21 treatments and control were studied in M1 and M2 generations for chlorophyll mutations, morphological variants as well as induced variability of qualitative and quantitative characters. 4 refs
