Radiation-induced modification of platinum and palladium supported on aluminum oxide and silica gel
- 1. Inst. of Organic Catalysis and Electrochemistry, Alma-Ata, USSR
Description
The catalytic properties of β- and γ-irradiated platinum and palladium catalysts in the liquid-phase hydrogenation of cyclohexene at 200C have been studied. On comparing the data obtained it has been established that Pt/SiO2 catalysts exhibit a markedly higher radiation catalytic effect than an alumina-platinum catalyst. It has been found that for Pd/SiO2 catalysts the radiation effect decreases with an increase in the concentration of the active phase, whereas palladium supported on aluminum oxide exhibits the reverse relationship
