Determination of the electric formfactor of the neutron without longitudinally polarized electron beams
Description
A new method for determination of the neutron electric formfactor GEn has been suggested. This method requires no longitudinally polarized electron beam and is based on measurement of the polarization of protons produced by the disintegration of the vector polarized deuteron, d-vector(e,e'p-vector)n. The sensitive of the spin transfer coefficients to GEn, as well as to various parametrizations of the deuteron wave functions (DWF) has been analyzed in the frameworks of the relativistic impulse approximation. It is shown that in the quasi-elastic peak region some spin transfer coefficients are large nand sensitive to GEn and practically do not depend on the DWF choice
