The study of the direct-contact condenser of a bubbling type in the regime of nitrogen oxide generation

Description

The technique and the results of experimental study are presented on operation of the nitrogen tetroxide vapour condenser in the regime of nitrogen oxide generation, which is an inhibitor of N2O4 corrosion activity relative to metals. Nitrogen oxide in N2O4 has been generated in the condenser by thermal dissociation method at dissociated coolant temperature range of 600-670 K and pressures of 0.2-0.4 MPa. The obtained experimental data testify to the reasonableness of using the condensation systems of bubbling type in unified vapour condensation regime and nitrogen oxide generation in power plants using dissociating nitrogen tetroxide as a coolant and working medium
