Full rate operating time estimation of the spay system in case of different accidents for NPP Kozloduy Units 1 and 2
Description
The configuration of the spay system in the NPP Kozloduy Units 1 and 2 specifies the connection between the supply of cooling water for the steam generators and the water temperature in the boron acid tank. When the temperature increase to 650C the spray system automatically switch over to a great-recirculation regime, leading to a half decrease of its efficiency. In this paper a simplified mathematical model is presented, for the determination of the period during which the spray system works at full rate. The results calculated for the beyond-design accidents 'Leak from the primary circuit with D=64 mm' and 'Main steam line break in the steam generator compartment '. (author)
