First results using a k-band maser receiver on the Parkes 64-m radio telescope

Description

Many OH masers are located at the periphery of the HII regions surrounding recently formed stars. A large fraction of the known OH masers in the southern sky has been surveyed. 79% are accompanied by H2O masers. The high-velocity ejecta near HII regions and H2O masers occuring in clusters have been studied
