Electronics in nuclear power plants
Creators
Description
Nuclear power stations in the FRG apply an enormous amount of electronic equipment for control, monitoring and protective purposes. The article in hand deals with the principal design features of electronic systems that have to meet the most stringent safety requirements. The critical points are rigid testing of the components, manifold redundancy, and easy detection of faults and errors. For some applications, microprocessors are still not permitted because of too bad assessability of their failure modes. (GL)
Abstract (German)
(orig.)Additional details
