Gas dynamics of ultracentrifuges

Description

The operational range of the present ultracentrifuges is identified with the Brouwers' semi-long centrifuge, as opposite to the normal procedure, which tends to classify them as long. The conceptual differences between the cilinders long and semi-long are analyzed, and the solution for this last problem is obtained with the use of the principle of superposition. (Author)

A faixa de operacao das ultracentrifugas atuais e identificada com a centrifuga semi-longa de Brouwers, contrariamente ao procedimento normal, que tende a classifica-las como longas. As diferencas entre os conceitos de cilindros longo e semi-longo sao analisadas e a solucao para o problema e obtida, para este ultimo caso, com o uso do principio da superposicao. (Autor)
