Description
Paleo-channel uranium mineralization in Middle Erlian Basin, developed in paleo-channel sandstone of Upper Saihan Formation, is of phreatic interlayer oxidation origin. According to analysis on environmental geochemical parameter for typical paleo-channel uranium mineralization, there exists a close relationship between mineralization, reduction capacity, redox ability and clay mineral content. Besides, from oxidation zone to redox transitional zone to reduction zone, uranium mineralization presents the feature from low to high to slightly low. From oxidation zone to primary zone. pH change presents feature from alkaline to neutral (slight acid) to slightly acid. Therefore, based on the comparison and analysis of environmental geochemical parameters of different zones in Middle Erlian Basin, seven favorable sections and five slightly favorable sections have been prospected for paleo-channel mineralization.
