Evidence for band structure and possible triaxial deformation in 65Ga

Description
Levels in 65Ga were investigated by γ--γ coincidence and γ angular distribution measurements. Evidence for bands built on f5/2 and g9/2 proton orbitals is seen. The spin sequence 5/2-, 9/2-, 7/2-, 13/2-, 11/2- suggests triaxial deformation in 65Ga. The 21/2+ level at 4.333 MeV may be a (g9/2)3 configuration. 1 figure
