Raman scattering from a soft mode in TlInS2 compound

Description
Low-frequency spectra of Raman scattering in the vicinity of a ferroelectric phase transition are studied. Parameters of a soft mode are determined from the temperature dependence of spectrum parameters (frequency, half-breadth and intensity of lines) using model calculation. The frequency of the soft mode is stated to have route dependence on Tc-T
