Millisecond pulsars and the location of the solar system barycenter

Description

The possibility of using millisecond pulsars to more accurately determine the location of the solar system barycenter is discussed. Two sets of the light-travel time corrections (necessary to refer pulse arrival-time data to the solar system barycenter) are obtained; one from the old MIT PEP311 ephemerides and the second from the most recent JPL DE200/LE200 ephemerides. The comparison of these two sets gives a rough estimate of the possible uncertainties in the location of the solar system barycenter and in pulsar parameters that are derived from pulse arrival-time data. 8 references, 2 figures
